Children in Need in London 2011

Date: 16th January 2012
Here I am a Spitalfields!
It was Blue’s Monday calculated to be the most depressing day of the year. However, Blue Monday was beautiful gorgeously sunny day, as was the weekend before it.
The few who visited that day seemed jolly and looked quite financially secure without too many worries depressing them into ‘blueness’.
It was lots of fun – I did 4 x 20 min sessions in the middle of a deserted market, where the 6/7 stalls out of a possible 40-50 were open – hence business was slow to on-existent, and although people rushed in at lunchtime to eat, they returned to work just as quickly.
People laughed a little as they chomped and a few sat and had a go at the Wadly Archer nose ear funny twiddle thing. Every sessions I gave a little more information and varied the content and stayed buoyant, being exuberant with invitations to join in. Still there I stayed with my crowd stooge Geoffrey, standing alone together. As I was earning good money I was determined to just have a great time and gave it my very best shot.
When I’d done my time, there were several complimentary words from the stall holders, some of whom said that they had laughed and learned things about the value of laughter that they never would have known. So that was nice.
