Personal statement: I have been laughing since June 2002 when I trained to be a Laughter Leader with Dr. Kataria and was fascinated by the idea of Laughing for No Reason. Since then I have trained dozens of people to spread laughter and happiness in their communities. In June 2004 I trained with Robert Holden to become a Happiness Coach and I am a founder member of the Laughter Network.
It is my aim to spread happiness and laughter and I now refer to myself as a Laughologist.
I am especially interested in understanding how the mind affects the body and the health benefits of laughter. There is a real connection between Yoga, which I have practised since the late 70s, and Laughter as they are both complimentary to good health and develop a positive approach to life.
Laughter is a great Stressbuster and I have lead many laughter sessions for specialist health groups and corporate well being days.
I have also performed at the Newbury Comedy festival, the Winchester Festival as well running laughter sessions at major shows in London. I make regular Presentations at Champneys Health Resorts teaching yoga as well as giving my entertaining talk "Laugh your way to better health".
My work has been featured in many TV programmes and articles.
