Personal statement: Joe started his laughter business 7 years ago, specialising initially with healthcare professionals. Since then he has worked worldwide with clients ranging from the Queen Mary, Zhaoqing University and Continental Airlines to Broadway Lodge and DHI (Drugs and Homeless Initiative). His work featured first in the Sunday Times and British Medical Association Journal in 1997, and continues to feature regularly in all media.

He is constantly expanding the range of his 'laughter' activities, developing Laughter Therapy for Rehab, and organising the first 'Laugh-a thon' for the British Heart Foundation.

He lectures on 'laughter' at the University of the West of England.
